Industrial Gate Valves India

Introduction:

Unimac Control Systems is one of the leading manufacturer, supplier, and exporter of Industrial Gate Valve in India. Industrial Gate Valve’s more products available like that Gate Valve, Globe Valve, Check Valve, Butterfly Valve, Floating Ball Valve, Trunnion Ball Valve etc. Industrial gate valves are devices used to control the flow of fluids (liquids or gases) within pipes in various industries, including oil and gas, water treatment, power generation, chemical processing, and more. These valves are designed to either completely stop or allow the flow of a substance by using a sliding gate or wedge mechanism that raises or lowers within the valve body.

Some common types of industrial gate valves include:

  • Rising Stem Gate Valves: In this type, the stem is attached to the gate and rises or lowers vertically as the valve is operated. The position of the stem indicates the valve's status (open or closed), making it easily visible for monitoring purposes.
  • Non-Rising Stem Gate Valves: Unlike rising stem valves, the stem threads into the gate, and the gate travels up and down without extending outside the valve body. These valves are often used in limited spaces where the length of the valve stem matters.
  • Solid Wedge Gate Valves: These valves use a solid gate that moves between the seats to control flow. Solid wedge gate valves are suitable for handling a variety of fluids and offer good sealing properties.
  • Flexible Wedge Gate Valves: The wedge in this type of valve is made up of two parts joined by a hinge. It adapts to changes in the body seat, which helps improve the valve's sealing ability in systems affected by temperature fluctuations.
  • Split Wedge Gate Valves: This type employs a two-piece gate design with an opening in the middle. The gate halves move independently, making them effective in handling high-stress conditions and preventing binding that can occur in solid wedge designs.
  • Parallel Slide Gate Valves: These valves have parallel gates that slide between the seats to control the flow. They offer a quick and tight shut-off but may not be suitable for regulating flow as they are primarily designed for on/off service.
  • Knife Gate Valves: These valves have a sharp-edged gate to cut through fluids containing solids or thick slurry. They are commonly used in industries handling wastewater treatment, pulp and paper, mining, and other applications where the media may contain solid particles.

Each type of industrial gate valve has specific advantages and limitations, making it crucial to select the most suitable valve based on factors like the nature of the fluid, pressure and temperature conditions, flow control requirements, and the operational environment. Consulting with engineers or valve specialists helps in determining the best valve type for a particular industrial application.
